Biography:
Ms. Copeland is a PhD Candidate at the Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.  She has taught Spanish language courses for more than ten years in a variety of higher education settings and has served as a translator and interpreter to native Spanish speakers. Ms. Copeland is a native of Jersey City, NJ with roots in Hephzibah, GA. She is also the proud parent of a 12-year old son.

Ms. Copeland's research interests include  the role of individual differences in cognitive processes in second language learning, distance/online teaching and learning, heritage learners, instructed second language acquisition, higher education, and institutional research.
