Father Stephen Kha Nguyen was born and raised in Vietnam.  Prior to immigrating to the United States in the mid-1980s, he underwent 10 years of formation in the minor and major seminaries of the Dalat diocese in central Vietnam.  Between his years in the seminaries, he worked for the UPS in New York City.  His cultural background marks the confluence of Vietnamese and Western influences.  Joining the Society of the Divine Word in 1999, Father Stephen received his first vows in August of 2001.  He participated in the Cross-Cultural Training Program of the SVD in Germany from 2002 to 2004.  He professed perpetual vows in 2005 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2006.  His experience with seminary education took him to Divine Word College Seminary in 2006 and has witnessed to his various involvements in the training of future missionaries.

Religion and culture in ministry, theological inculturation, modern philosophy.

Ministries to the Eucharistic Youth Movement and immigrants, parish work in Germany, Vietnamese apostolates in New York, Dallas, Cedar Rapids (IA).
